Awakening Osiris: The Egyptian Book of the Dead

Beautiful poems translated by Normandi Ellis from the ancient Egyptians. These poems are often called the Egyptian Book of the Dead, but there actually is no such book. They are funerary poems gathered from the lids of sarcophagi. The dead could either memorize them or read them as they awakened, came forth by day, in the next world. Up to five thousand years old, these poems show us the absolute continuity of life. We see how little humanity has really changed. An inspirational window into another, long gone world.

How Long Is Now?

In this unique and exhilarating book, stand-up philosopher Tim Freke shares his own amazing journey of awakening to the ecstasy of oneness and the bliss of big love. He offers profound insights and simple wake-up techniques to gently guide anyone ever more deeply into an experience of being spiritually awake in the real world.

The Mystery Experience: A Revolutionary Approach to Spiritual Awakening

Philosopher and author Tim Freke leads us on a journey through the nature of the ‘Mystery Experience’, via quantum physics, Gnosticism, the essence of Tao, meditation, Walt Whitman, Greek mythology, Buddhism, Dub Punk musician Jah Wobble, and Carl Jung. But what is the ‘Mystery Experience’? You can taste it by simply focusing your attention on the mystery. But what is the mystery? The mystery is life. The mystery is the journey. The mystery is you. The mystery is me. The mystery makes you want to say, simply: WOW. No one has the answers, but asking the questions is what makes us come alive.”

Lucid Living: A Book You Can Read in One Hour That Will Turn Your World Inside Out

Life is not what it seems . . .you are not who you think you are . . .

Emotional Intelligence

This is a wonderful book with very insightful information about how physiology effects our emotional responses. The book contains one of the best descriptions of the workings of anger

Anatomy of the Spirit

Caroline Myss is wonderful teacher. Her books are hard to put down. She blends  symbolism, mythology, chakras, physiology, modern and modern medicine into a magnificent tapestry. She is also a (retired) medical intuitive with a very high diagnostic success rate, better than your average MD’s.

Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom
Sheer pleasure. John O’Donohue’s books are astounding and beautiufl. An insightful and beautiful Catholic and Celtic writer whose celebration of humanity and the possibilities of a deep spiritual love of life and our fellow man is inspirational. On top of that, the prose is exquisite. Like drinking a wonderful magical potion. Celtic, of course.

Tales of the Dervishes

Indries Shah was a world renowned Sufi teacher. The Sufis teach through stories. These tales require thought and are richly rewarding. Underneath each story is a powerful lesson or maybe, as is the case in The Man With The Inexplicable Life, many lessons.  A real pleasure to read and a goldmine of inspiration and understanding of the foibles of human nature.

The Essential Rumi

This is a must in your spiritual library. I will admit that not all of it is useful or even understandable on first reading, but the poems that are understandable are phenomenal in their depth of human and spiritual understanding. I always think, “and we are still doing much of this silly stuff!” Rumi is the finger pointing at the moon as they say and what a pointer! Ask any fan.

Daring To Be Yourself

You can create a new life. A life revised in small but crucial ways—or perhaps you will totally change the way things have been up to now. You choose, of course. But first you need to know just who you really are and to shed the conditioning imposed on you by decades of conforming to other people’s expectations and other people’s interpretations.

A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose

This is a wonderful book with perhaps the best description of the workings of the ego ever. In depth coverage of most of our dilemmas from personal issues to war and how the ego is causing them. A must read on the spiritual and consciousness trail.

Shift: Change Your Words, Change Your World

Shift is a creative tool for expanding consciousness. Through thought-provoking questions, stories, illustrations, and poetry, Shift draws out new ways of thinking about old challenges. Its purpose is to bring powerful peace to the reader and planet, one reader at a time. The book is unique in using words to look at words, meanings, human perception, emotions, and actions. Its words are not Truth; they are catalysts helping readers find their own truths.
